Bogota, Colombia -- spectacular clouds in the mountains and enveloping the city. I haven't been in Colombia in a few years. Came here in earlier years, going back to the 1960s. There have been significant changes for the better, much better -- especially compared to the worst of the murderous leftist revolution, drug cartel and fanatic right-wing war years in the 1980s and '90s. It still has the stigma of a dangerous place and in some ways that is deserved. But far less than ever in my experience. It’s a country on the move up, with massive infrastructure and social improvements. I’m here digging around on a couple of stories (with a reporting and investigative team). More as we go along...
