Another way to look at tonight's debate: Two men auditioning for Presidential nominations in 2016. Biden would like to run; a good showing tonight would buttress his chances. Ryan supporters wanted him to head the ticket this year; if the GOP ticket loses this year - if, but not by much, who is to say Ryan won't be hustling for the Presidential nomination in 2016?
